Roswell Rotary Gives
Last week's meeting was a demonstration of how charitable our organization really is. We celebrated four new Roswell Rotary major donors. Congratulations to Sid Disher, Alex Kaufman, Adele Hamilton and Karen Schwank. Through Rotary, you truly are making a difference in our community and the world.
We also recognized this year's Elwyn Gaissert Sr. Service Above Self award winner, Cheryl Greenway. Congratulations to all!

Join us Thursday to honor four outstanding future leaders. The group of applicants continues to get larger and more competitive every year. Many thanks to Vivian Bankston (Laws of Life) and William Lindsey (Scholarships) for their hard work on this project.
The 2022 scholarship recipients will be honored at our May 19th meeting. Hope you can be there to congratulate them!
• Alexandra Cabrera- Power of One, Blessed Trinity
• Jemma Nelson - Stan Moses, Roswell High
• Riley Davis - Tom Zachary, Roswell High
• Lilly Frank - Tom Zachary, Roswell High
These scholarships have a special meaning to RRC as you can see below:
The Tom Zachary Scholarship: The Roswell Rotary Club awards two $1,500 scholarship to a deserving member of the 2022 high school senior class who exemplifies Roswell Rotary’s sense of community spirit by his/her contribution of service and participation in the local community.
Power of One: The Roswell Rotary Club awards a $1,500 scholarship to a deserving member of the high school 2022 senior class who demonstrates the “power of one” in his/her life to make a positive difference in the world. This scholarship honors Roswell Rotary Past President Dave McCleary, whose desire to raise awareness of human trafficking led to the formation of the End Human Trafficking Now campaign, a worldwide network of organizations and individuals addressing this serious community crisis on the local, national, and international levels. End Human Trafficking Now emphasizes the “Power of One” because one person can make a difference and contribute to growing the effort.
Stan Moses Community Scholarship: The Roswell Rotary Club awards one $1,500 scholarship to a deserving member of the 2022 high school senior class who exemplifies Roswell Rotary's sense of community spirit by his/her contribution of service and participation in the local community.

We now have multiple “zoom cameras”,
so you won’t miss a minute of the action. Join us from where ever you are!
There are times that travel or business
obligations challenge your ability to attend our lunch meetings. And you don't want to miss our speakers’
messages, Terry’s stories and messages, event updates, announcements and
awards, Happy Dollars and Hal’s raffle comments.
It’s not that you have to attend all
of our meetings. It’s that you want to. And now you can.
Enjoy everything about our meetings
except for the fried chicken. Attend all
meetings virtually thanks to Bob Clarkson and team who provide the camera work
and audio so that you can connect via Zoom for some or all of the week’s
meeting.

Tuesday's meeting will be an extra special one. In honor of Memorial Day, we will have two veterans join us to speak! One will be our very own AH member and Army vet, Allison Ziants!! The other will be Alfonso Rogers from the Veterans Empowerment Organization. He will share ways our club can give back to the veteran communities in Roswell.
And mark your calendars for our June 7 meeting as well. Author Chris Tuff will be speaking and we want to pack the house! Same time, same place.

Roswell High School Interact Club is making a generous donation in support of Ukraine. So proud of these students and their compassion and "do something" attitude! Go Roswell High Interact! And thank you to Regan Pierce!

RRC has switched to Simple Texting for club reminders.
How does this effect me?
If you are a member with a cell phone number on record with the club, you are already set up! You will get a compliance message when we send the first text on the new service.
If you did not give a cell number to the club and want text reminders, just text RRC to 833-456-2829 and this will get you signed up! Easy!
What changes if I already get club texts?
Just the number that the message will come from. So if you see the number 833-456-2829 in your text messages, that's the RRC notification.
Any questions? Tori Nielson, our awesome Club Administrator will help you!

RRC is at Alive in Roswell Thursday, May 19th, at 5:30pm!

This is an opportunity for you or someone on your staff who needs to network and generate revenue, or someone you are interested in recruiting to Roswell Rotary that needs to network with Rotarians:
This is networking with people who have the integrity of the 4 Way Test! This is why Paul Harris formed Rotary for 1905. Professionals with diverse backgrounds could exchange ideas, form meaningful, lifelong friendships, and conduct business together.
Our last gathering again drew a crowd from the Atlanta Metro, Dunwoody, Peachtree City, Roswell, Sandy Springs and Tucker clubs.
While Rotary is about "Service Above Self," there is a growing place for networking in Rotary, particularly for those responsible for generating revenue.
Location: King & Queen Buildings
Courtside Grille at Concourse Athletic Club
8 Concourse Parkway
Sandy Springs , GA 30328
Plenty of free parking
Please plan to join us on Tue, Jun 21 at 6:30pm.
