Be a Sponsor President's Message July 28
The sponsor forms are out and we need you to sign up to support our Golf and Tennis Tournaments. Over the last few weeks, we have read about or heard from several groups that receive our support and marveled at the difference they make in our community. The first day of school is less than two weeks away. What a great time to hear from Dr. Christopher Matthews from Fulton County Schools as our kids prepare to go back to school. We will have a special treat as we send off our outbound Rotary Youth Exchange student Revie Pierce who is leaving for France soon. We'll also have our second Past President Moment this week. After Hours Club Update
Thank you to Henning von Schmeling, Senior Director of Operations for the Unity Garden at the Chattahoochee Nature Center, for speaking to the After Hours club on Tuesday evening! Henning spoke with such passion and eloquence as he described various vegetables, seeds, wildlife and more. It was truly impressive to hear the role the Unity Garden plays in providing food to the community. The club learned a lot and looks forward to a *blossoming* partnership! After Hours' next meeting is Tuesday, August 2 at 6:30 p.m. at The Artillery Room @ Gate City. As a reminder, they meet the first and third Tuesday of the month. Add To Calendar Injury and Surgery Play a Small Part in the Need for Blood
Many people think that blood is only needed for those who've had an injury or surgery. However, there are a large group of people that require blood for things as simple as a infected cut on their arm, a minor viral infection or a minor bacterial infection. This could include people in chemotherapy or those that are just not producing white blood cells. Your blood can provide the white blood cells that will save lives. We need your help to give but if we can't get your blood we must get it from others! So we're asking for your help by asking others! Make it a "Call To Action" and get a minimum of one friend or family member to give in your honor. It's a simple process that makes you feel so good when you deliver! Plus when giving a Pint of Blood you get a Pint of Beer from our friends at Gate City! For
you or a friend to 'reserve a table' on Wed, Aug 3, click here to see availability and reserve your table.
